Well it just shows that some people have none of the fear of heights that is hard-wired into most of us. It's not a conscious thing, and can in some be excessive. I know a fit and normal man in his early 50's who cannot drive over the Elizabeth Bridge - his legs tremble uncontrollably if he tries, and to cross the Thames he has to make a detour via the Blackwall tunnel.
