tacky new market tops

Tacky-looking circus-style tops for the market stalls at Gloucester Green mean that the interiors are now so dark that they have to have strings of electric lights on all day. Shopping at the new market was initially an unpleasant experience, due to the use of energy-efficient light bulbs close to eye level, but fortunately many of these have now been changed to something less disturbing. If they want to save energy, then why have these stupid roofs that block out the natural light? The old-style canvas roofs were far more photogenic!
