I'm not religious, but this place is epic.

Chatted briefly with Leonard Knight during my last visit in 2011. He wasn't feeling well, so I didn't want to invade his privacy and make a portrait. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2014, but his work has been largely preserved through volunteers and public charity.

Slab City is less than 10 minutes east.

It appears that the desert is starting to make headway here.
