I've finally gotten to use this camera and was disappointed with the results. The shots all turned out a little soft. It should have produced sharper pictures, since it's a Pentax.

This is why my area of Southern Illinois is called "Little Egypt." There are several towns here that are named after real places in the Egypt, such as Cairo, Karnak, Thebes, Metropolis and Goshen, etc. There is also architectural nods in the building and decorations of places around the area - such as this doorway at the Marion, Illinois Veterans Hospital. The whole hospital is made to look like an ancient Egyptian structure on the inside. This looks like a small building at first glance, but I think it was made out of solid concrete. I have no idea what it's function must have been. There are a lot of oil wells around it, so I assume it must have been something related to the oilfield industry.
