Kerpen an der Erft
Bank an der Erft zwischen Kerpen-Türnich und Erftstadt-Gymnich.

Die Erft verläuft hier schnurrgerade und ist eher ein Kanal als ein Fluss, wie auch auf dem ersten PIP gut zu sehen. Allerdings laufen an diesem Erftabschnitt aktuell Arbeiten zur Renaturierung. Auf einer 5,5 Kilometer langen Strecke wird ein neuer naturnaher und gewundener Flusslauf gebaut. Die Arbeiten sollen bis Ende 2025 abgeschlossen werden. Weitere Details sind der Infotafel im zweiten PIP zu entnehmen.
