Loch Lomond & The Trossachs
Lomond & Trossachs National Park
River Teith
The pretty tourist town of Callander lies immediately south of the Highland Boundary Fault which is historically a meeting point between the Scottish Highlands and the Lowlands.
The Highland Boundary Fault is a major fault zone that traverses Scotland from Arran and Helensburgh on the west coast to Stonehaven in the east. It separates two different geological terranes which give rise to two distinct physiographic terrains: the Highlands and the Lowlands, and in most places it is recognisable as a change in topography, Wikipedia.
More benches in the distance, large view, perhaps.
HBM and a great week to you all
Quiet day on the River
A pleasant day although the clouds look threatening over the River Teith at Callander as it gently meanders its way down to join with the River Leny before they merge with the River Forth near Stirling.
Large if you prefer.
A Rather Rural Wall.
A rugged rural scene with a sturdy wall and a few sheep,
A part of Stirlingshire known as North Third,
In 16.9 format so perhaps a large view
A musical accompaniment ,The wall of the world. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wCiQnKi1q4
Small Bench, Cool Water,
A view of the River Teith, looking up-stream at Callander, in Perthshire, the benches across the shot in gardens called "The Meadows"
Although listed as a town it has a population of a little over 3000 but is a bustling tourist stop in the holiday season.

Loch Katrine,
A 13 km-long fresh water loch in the heart of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
This was taken near the start of the 4.5 mile Brenachoile Trail and was shot into the Sun which may have affected quality slightly,
Sir Walter Scott set his poem 'The Lady of the Lake' here, it also inspired writers such as William Wordsworth and was used as a location for scenes in Outlander.
The loch also has links to Scottish legend Rob Roy MacGregor. And was closely linked to Queen Victoria,
Located in the Scottish Highlands, east of Loch Lomond, within the historic county and registration county of Perthshire and the contemporary district of Stirling. The loch is about 8 miles long and 1 mile wide at its widest point, and runs the length of Strath Gartney. (Scottish for Valley)
Wish you a great Friday and a lovely weekend
Round the Bend
Another image from the beautiful Loch Katrine,
This loch is often call Scotland in miniature because of its varied landscape of Forests, Peaks and island filled loch,
I prefer it large,
On the Ridge
Silver Birch high on a ridge on a warm and sunny day in mid-May on Duke's Pass in the Achray Forest, Trossachs National Park,
I prefer it large
Fairy Glade.
A bright day in mid-May with thin cloud cover and strong but patchy sunlight,
The fast flowing watercourse is tumbling down to a culvert which will carry under Duke's Pass and into Loch Achrey
A large view for the detail please !
Select a Bench!
The 610 mtr Creag na h-Airghe forms the backdrop to a bend in the River Teith and a park area known as The Meadows at Callander,
This small tourist town serves as the eastern gateway to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
A fact that may be of interest to some, water from this river is used in the production of Deanston Distillery’s famous malt whisky !
Large view if you are able to please,,,,,,,,,,,, HBM and a great week !
