Save the Rhino

Designed by Jacha, he designed a life-size sculpture of a rhino, and worked with local blacksmith Gerallt Evans to bring it to life. the rhino then travelled through the hills of Snowdonia from Gerallt’s workshop to the railway station at Betws-y-Coed where she made her new home at the entrance to the Platform Galeri. There is an information board displayed next to Edith detailing what is happening to the Rhinos and how they are poached for their horns. It is filled with plastic bottle tops and makes a very colourful and thought provoking statement on the platform.
