Cab 5451 Hornsby - Homebush
Folder: Railway 1971 - 1980.
In November 1972 while travelling to TAFE there were, at Hornsby, two locos making there final run to Enfield depot. They were later sold for scrap. The crew of the second loco allowed me to ride with them from Hornsby to Homebush. I was late for class that day. www.flickr.com/photos/grahamh_pix/5208977064 See www.flickr.com/photos/metrovick46/7144731687/in/photostream for a photo a little close…

Stopped at Eastwood for more than half an hour to allow trains to overtake. Its probably done a million miles in its life. Ensuring that the final ten miles can be completed.

Crossing the now redundant bridge over the Parramatta River at Meadowbank. This bridge can now be used by pedestrians. A new bridge exists to the right (West) of this one.
