An old nearly ATX power supply set up for use as a bench supply. This needed a load on the +5V rail for the supply to operate. Instead of a resistor I used a 12V 10W auto lamp which doubles as pilot lamp. I have yet to fit a DC switch, the green switch wire is earthed till then. The cover off the counter to plan modifications to run from 12v car battery etc. It surprised me that the power transformer was centre tapped to earth and each side feeding a single diode ala valve rectifier ccts of old.
