The station is on Queensland Rail track but is only used for heritage trains now. The small town here has many people active in history and many types of old things. There is a group who look after the station which is located halfway between two heritage rail groups, DownsSteam at Toowoomba and Southern Downs Steam Railway at Warwick. The distance is suitable as a destination for a pub/cafe lunch. Both groups have run steam trips for the public and DownsSteam's active volunteers came here in the railmotor for an end-of-year pub lunch.
