Part of the Grade and Curve Diagram for the Maitland to Wallangarra railway. This was the original rail route to the adjoining state of Queensland. Wallangarra, on the border, was a gauge change site due to Qld using 3'6" and NSW using std gauge. Gresley is located on the straight section with the 1 in 75 grade at the right hand side of the diagram.
