Das ist schnell erklärt: Die Silbe -richt (auch -rieth oder reuth, weiter im Norden auch -rode) geht auf das Wort roden zurück. Ort mit -richt bezeichnen also eine Rodungsinsel im Wald. Und was tut man auf der Lichtung?
