Bonomi Edward Warren (1842-1922, active 1860-1877):
¤ left: Sportsman and dog on a wooded path (1868, 68 x 51 cm, watercolor and gouache heightened with white)
¤ right: Woodland Scene in Summer with Children on a Path (1871, 120 x 89 cm, oil on canvas)

Not only the trees but also the shadows (e.g. on the path in the foreground) are similar.

(There is not too much information about this artist available in the internet.)

I found these images in 19thcenturybritpaint.blogspot.de/2014/04/pot-pourri_9.html (by Richardo Floyd Darsie).

Google doesn't find too much reliable information about "Bonomi Edward Warren". My descripion of the images may be wrong. But paintings signed with his name or attributed to him seem to sell well. I am curious whether and how the authenticity of these paintings has been verified.

Hi Jean-Pierre, Picasso alledgedly said: "Good artists copy, great artists steal." Good artists of course also can legitimately and masterfully copy and steal from themselves. In software development we call that "re-use".

Below you see more re-use: For the print on the right side, Gustave Doré seems to have re-used (stolen from) the print on the left side. And the print in the center could be Henry Holiday's re-use of (stealing from) both of Doré's prints.
