Dieses Bild zeigt Giebel und Dach eines Eckhauses mit ungewöhnlicher Dachkonstruktion, wie das Satellitenbild zeigt. Der Zaun schmückt den First und hat keine andere nützliche Funktion. Wie auch bei den Früchten am Giebelansatz ein typisches Jugendstilelement.
1904 wurde durch einen Großbrand die Stadt Ålesund vollständig vernichtet. Die Bewohner wurden obdachlos. Der Wiederaufbau der gesamten Stadt konnte durch internationale Hilfe zügig erfolgen. Man baute im damals modernen Jugendstil, was die Innenstadt bis heute zu einem baustilistischen Kleinod mit vielen individuellen Gebäudedetails macht.
