Pumicestone Passage at Caloundra in Queensland. Pumicestone Passage Marine Park, extends from the southern entrance to the Caloundra bar and is just over 35 kilometres long, has 24 sand islands and is bounded by 240 kilometres of shoreline. Eighty percent of the Passage is under two metres deep and dugongs frequent its waters seasonally to feed on the seagrass on the bottom of the channels in the passage. Dolphins and turtles also make the Passage home as do over 350 species of birds. TSC Water

What an amazing start to the day, crisp, clear and bright orange July 17. View to the coast from the Noosa Hinterland in Queensland. TSC Sunrise Sunset in Note on main image :-)

After many different ideas and attempts, this was the one I liked best. The camera was right on the ground, slightly tilted upwards. The glass for the flower created white flash reflections on the wall. Sunspace Café, Doonan, Queensland. Straight from the camera :-) Noosa Hinterland, Queensland. It is quite unusual to see a real koala in the wild although friends of ours in Maleny have seen some in their gum trees. Sadly their numbers are dwindling. TSC Things which go together... Koala and Australia

Rainbow Lorikeet on the Golden Penda in the Noosa hinterland, Queensland, Australia. I was very lucky that the Golden Penda is so attractive to the native birds that this Lorikeet stayed around for a while. These aptly named beautiful Australian birds, the Rainbow Lorikeets, parrots, have incredibly brightly coloured feathers, and a distinctive screeching call. In Noosa they fly between the Noosa River and the Hinterland feeding on the rich variety of flowering/fruiting trees and shrubs. 6/31 March, 365 Colours. Archive Airings AA21 Patterns.
