Late entry to this topic as I have only just joined The Sunday Challenge group.
This was the only car pic I had from 11-18 May, a humble Hyundai Getz but it had a great family on its back window... see note on this image :-)

Wine Companion
Negative space, in art, is the space around and between the subject(s) of an image. Negative space may be most evident when the space around a subject, and not the subject itself, forms an interesting or artistically relevant shape, and such space is occasionally used to artistic effect as the "real" subject of an image. The use of negative space is a key element of artistic composition.

Went to the Noosa River to see if there were any birds willing to pose. A few Pelicans, Seagulls, Corellas, Ducks, Pigeons.
First of all took a shot with Auto ISO which came out as ISO 100, and quite dark (see Note on Image above), but OK. So upped it a notch to ISO 200, manually. Had it on high shutter speed (1/640), hoping to catch a bird in flight, but liked one shot in particular with a stationary Pelican, boat and Seagull.
Zero editing.

Have had this little fellow in the prop box for a while now. If you jiggle him a light comes on. Then you have to be quick to take a photo as the light doesn't stay on long :-)

Coolum Beach in Queensland.
No shortage of sun and shadows here this week, crisp and clear and pretty cold at night.
Left hand shadow is the helpful husband, and I am at the corner post taking the pic.
Another shadow pic is in the note on this image.

Noosa Marina

Also known as Noosa Harbour and the home of the Noosa Ferry on the Noosa River in Queensland.
The Sunday Market is there today, so I captured a few typical scenes there. The Marina sign, Information Centre, Fish Market, boats including the Noosa Queen and a Pelican in flight.
Full size jolly marina sign in note on this image.
TSC Collage of a favourite challenge... Monochrome... Two centre images in camera monochrome.
Café in the Sun

After many different ideas and attempts, this was the one I liked best. The camera was right on the ground, slightly tilted upwards. The glass for the flower created white flash reflections on the wall.
Sunspace Café, Doonan, Queensland.
TSC ground level... camera no more than a few inches off the ground
In the Note on this image you can see our table (not at ground level) :-)

Holiday in the Whitsundays, Queensland!
Captain James Cook, then a lieutenant in the Royal Navy, passed through these islands in 1770, on his first voyage around the world in the Endeavour.
'Indeed the whole passage is one continued safe harbour,' he noted on the morning of Sunday, 3 June. It was Whitsun, the seventh Sunday after Easter and the feast of Pentecost, so Cook named it the Whitsunday Passage and one of what he called the Cumberland Islands -- Pentecost Island.
With over 90 islands stretching from Bowen in the north to the Repulse Islands in the south, the Whitsunday group is part of Australia’s largest offshore island chain, known as the Cumberland group. All the islands and their surrounding waters (collectively known as 'the Whitsundays') have international protection as part of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. In addition, some islands have been declared national parks by the Queensland Government.

Straight from the camera :-)
Noosa Hinterland, Queensland.
It is quite unusual to see a real koala in the wild although friends of ours in Maleny have seen some in their gum trees. Sadly their numbers are dwindling.
