Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco
The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, is a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there. One of only a few surviving structures from the Exposition, it is the only one still situated on its original site. It was rebuilt in 1965, and renovation of the lagoon, walkways, and a seismic retrofit were completed in early 2009.
.......While most of the exposition was demolished when the exposition ended, the Palace was so beloved that a Palace Preservation League, founded by Phoebe Apperson Hearst, was founded while the fair was still in progress.

Note: Phoebe Apperson Hearst 1842-1919, was the mother of Newspaper Magnate William Randolph Hearst who later built Hearst Castle at San Simeon.

Mustangs of Dallas
The fantastic Equestrian sculpture.
The Mustangs of Las Colinas is one of the largest equestrian sculptures in the world. Williams Square, a stark, pink-granite plaza in the Las Colinas Urban Center, is home to this breathtakingly realistic bronze sculpture of nine wild mustangs crossing a stream.

1997 Vail Top of Hunky Dory Run
2023 Archive Airings - AA360....Ice Cold
Skiing at Vail in February 1997, staying at the Tivoli Lodge. The ski runs were amazing at Vail, so wide and smooth. The mountain restaurants were huge. The fashion was over the top. Quite an experience.

1997 Deckchairs at Bearclaw's Cabin
2023 Archive Airings - AA360....Ice Cold
There are not enough adjectives to describe Sundance Resort in the Provo Canyon in Utah. Wow, stunning scenery, exhilarating ski runs, rustic log cabins. Just one of the best places that we have visited. An incredibly memorable experience.
The view from Bearclaw’s Cabin is fantastic. A very special place.

"Great runs, gorgeous scenery and no crowds make Sundance one of winter's best in the West," noted Town and Country magazine. Intimate and rustic by design, Sundance differs from other resorts in more than size. Founded by Robert Redford in 1969, Sundance Resort is located on 5,000 acres of wilderness at the base of Utah's picturesque Mt. Timpanogos.
