We had a very enjoyable few days in Melbourne, Australia. On our first day we visited some of the lanes of street art. This mural is by John Murray, "Elvis" in AC/DC lane. I really like his work. allthoseshapes.com/john-murray_street-art johnmurrayart.com.au/about/john-murray/public-art

the last AUSSIE Fishcaf

We lived in Melbourne for a couple of years and this restaurant in South Melbourne was a favourite. Owned, at the time, by Iain Hewitson self-styled as "Huey", who is a New Zealand-born (from Otaki) chef and author who moved to Australia in 1972. His latest TV show is Huey's Kitchen. 4/30 June Black and Colour, 12 Months/365 Days in Colour. T Shirt Logo

Melbourne Tram

Saturday challenge - Dramatic photography The world's first cable tram system commenced operation in San Francisco in 1873. This invention, and the progress of the San Francisco system, had been closely watched by an American transport entrepreneur and Melbourne businessman, Francis Boardman Clapp. Clapp set up the Melbourne Omnibus Company with William McCulloch and Henry Hoyt, bringing organised street public transport to Melbourne. In 1877, Clapp bought the Victorian patents of Andrew Hallidie's inventions and changed the name of his company to the Melbourne Tramway & Omnibus Company. Melbourne's first electric tram began operation on 14 October 1889
