Country town
Photos taken 24th and 25th August 2015 in Cooroy, Queensland.
Cooroy Butter Factory
Built in 1915 by Wide bay Co-operative Dairy Association Ltd, the timber butter factory building was replaced by the current brick building in 1930. It is now an Arts Centre.
Cooroy Railway Station
The railway line to Cooroy was opened in 1891. The current timber Railway Station was renovated to match the original colours and design a few years ago.
Cooroy Post Office
Opened at the Railway Station in 1892. It was then briefly housed in the original School of Arts.
The current building opened in 1914.The old post box still has pride of place in front of the Post Office.
Background photo is on the corner of Maple Street and Emerald Street.
Further information can be found in the Walk Cooroy brochure from the council.
TSC
Let’s put our week into a collage, get at least 3 shots, more is fine less is not!
Your collage must contain at least:
1) one shot in black & white (background)
2) one shot using the white balance (railway station)
3) one shot with selective color (old post box)
Last week's shot in first comment and TSC2 :-)
