Folder: ipernity views, explore, galleries.
I was invited to join the group 30-34 etoiles by Helena.
Sadly, I couldn't find any with more than 30 in recent photos, so starting an over 20 to see if I ever reach the goal :-)

New and old.
Tacking Point Lighthouse, Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia. Such a brilliant day.
Tacking Point was named by Matthew Flinders in 1802, on HMS Investigator. The lighthouse was built in 1879.

Theme: Lightpainting "Light Graffiti"
Condition:
- The camera must not be moved.
- Paint/write something on a plain or white wall.
- Only a long exposure.
Cropped, but otherwise zero editing.
I ordered some LED light sticks, but they didn't arrive in time, but I found an alternative... tightly packed tiny Christmas lights, see PiP.

New South Wales, Australia
Access to one of the beautiful beaches in our area. There are many access points, including a flat pathway with a car park, at the end of the main road in the village of Diamond Beach. Dogs are allowed off leash at certain times. The beach has a surf life saving patrol in school holidays.

We had a day trip to see this interesting lighthouse.
Located 33 kilometres north-east of Taree, the historic Crowdy Head Lighthouse was built 1878-1879 and is one of five small lighthouses built on the NSW coast, with panoramic views from the lighthouse reserve. Looking north you can see beyond Diamond Head and the Three Brothers mountains (south, middle and north), which were named by Captain James Cook in 1770 as he sailed up the east coast. Unbeknown to him, the Biripi Nation had been calling them the Three Brothers for millennia. To the south you can see as far as Seal Rocks.

Speckled Drongo

HFF 13 January 2023
Yes, that really is its name :-) Tin Can Bay, Queensland, Australia.
The only drongo found in Australia.
The Spangled Drongo has glossy black plumage, with iridescent blue-green spots (spangles), a long forked tail and blood red eyes. Sexes are similar, but the female is slightly smaller. Occasional white spotting can be seen on the upper wings of both sexes. Young birds are more sooty black without the spangles and the eye is brown. The Spangled Drongo is noisy and conspicuous, usually active, and frequently aggressive to other species.
Spangled Drongos are found throughout northern and eastern Australia. Also found in New Guinea and eastern Indonesia. Closely related species occur through south-east Asia to India, China, and the Philippines and on some south-west Pacific islands.
