Erno Rubik of Hungary has given the world its best ever three dimensional puzzle. It is a truly difficult puzzle and be consoled, few solve it without help. There are 43 252 003 274 489 856 000 possible combinations on this simple looking "Toy".

The darker wood items are (modern) spurtles. I rather like the one shaped like a cricket bat :-)
The spurtle is a wooden Scottish kitchen tool, dating from the 15th century, that is used to stir porridge, soups, stews, and broths.

Scavenger Hunt/40 - Phobias
Yes, it's Friday the 13th, folks, and there is actually a traditional word for it. Paraskevidekatria comes from the Greek language, where 'paraskevi' means Friday and 'dekatria' means the number 13.
The superstitions connected with this day are largely associated with Western culture, but thanks to the popular culture surrounding the number 13 itself, as well as Friday the 13th, it's seemingly almost a globally acknowledged tradition of sorts.
In fact, the fear of the number 13 has its own medical name: paraskevidekatriaphobia; similarly, the intense and irrational fear of the number 13 is known as triskaidekaphobia.

Fisher & Paykel
Their revolutionary Smartdrive top loading washing machine was created in 1990.
The company had a manufacturing base in Australia for almost 20 years and nearly 70 years in New Zealand, but stated it can no longer compete with low cost labour countries and had to close them. In 2012, Haier, a major Chinese appliance manufacturer, purchased over 90% of Fisher & Paykel Appliance shares.

Sunday Challenge 28 - Bright and bold.
Any subject, with bright colour/s as at least 50% of the photo.
Can be abstract, or flowers, clothing, jewellery ... might need to be macro to achieve 50% in the colour/s selected.
One primary colour, or more, whatever works for you.
Using sections of recent photos for red (7Jan) and blue (9 Jan), see PiP.
Archive photos for white (2015) and yellow (2021).
On a roll with the style of Mondrian :-)
Much easier to do using squares rather than rectangles.

Now on to Yin Yang...
With thanks to Annamaria for this suggestion:
Yin Yang as opposites....... ( for example, black/white; hot/cold; or others related to chinese philiosophy.....)
The idea is of balance, with opposing elements, things, or colours.
