Noosa Heads is the name given to the town situated on the southern shore of Laguna Bay and on the far western side of Noosa Headland. The area has a small population that is growing rapidly... Tourism provides the foundation to the local economy which now flourishes ... over 250,000 holiday makers a year.
The town of Noosa Heads is 160 kms north of Brisbane, 1100 kms north of Sydney and 20 kms east of the Bruce Highway.
The permanent resident population of the entire Noosa region is approximately 35,000. Noosa Heads population is approximately 10,000.

At Witta Circle not far from the finish line in the Noosa Triathlon in Noosa Heads, Queensland.
Emma Moffatt and Aaron Royle were the winners this morning of the Noosa Triathlon. They are currently the only two Australians guaranteed spots in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year.
Noosa's most prominent annual festival, but also Australia's largest triathlon event and the largest Multi Sport Festival of its kind in the southern hemisphere.
