Cordoba -The Great Mosque
The Great Mosque in Cordoba was constructed in 785 AD by Abd al-Rahman 1, founder of the Islamic emirate of Cordoba. It was concerted into a cathedral in 1236 when Cordoba was captured by the Christian forcess of Castille.
