Thanks, George. I suspect you're right. I was told by the people I was visiting that they were contrails, but they could have been wrong. Or joking.

I think George is right, though, Esther, they're cirrus clouds. Detroit isn't that busy an airport. Still, that's a lot of cirrus clouds.
