Rogers Centre, Toronto

Rogers Centre, Toronto
The Rogers Centre, a baseball stadium and hotel, opened in 1989. It was designed by Rod Robbie and Michael Allen. It originally included a hotel, but that has been sold separately.

Xata, Dimas Sequeira, Eric Desjours, Nouchetdu38 and 20 other people have particularly liked this photo

Great kind of abstraction - what is, finally, this concreteization of the world ...

Plenty of places inside the stadium but no room for artistic details in these walls!

I apologize for not noticing your comment long ago, Eric. This is actually the last of the concrete baseball parks, so there is hope. It was opened in 1989, just when the rest of North America was deciding it was tired of ugly concrete stadiums that looked like toilet bowls. So all the ones in the States were replaced by more appealing ones. So there is hope. Toronto's still got this one, though.

The place is a giant eyesore, José. The only thing anyone cared about was that it was the first stadium with a retractable roof.
