People complain about all the overhead wires in Toronto, but for me they make walking down the street like living in a giant sculpture. Your impression may vary.

Heading off for a couple of days, and my ipernity app on my smartphone doesn't let me do much, if anything, so am not ignoring your posts.

John FitzGerald club has replied to William Sutherland clubJohn FitzGerald club has replied to Diana Australis clubThey are now building a tram line here at Tampere, but it is still unclear to me how and where they are going to hang the over-head wires. All the nice plan pictures only show the main power line magically hanging above the tram but none of the supporting wires or poles. Well, I guess the time will tell... =D
John FitzGerald club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubWhich raises the question, how do you repair the power lines in winter? Here repairing the water mains in winter requires jackhammers, as I found out one Sunday morning at four o'clock.

I like all the different geometric shapes against the sky! A man-made version of a spider's web....................
John FitzGerald club has replied to Keith Burton clubOther provinces and states here have even stranger traffic lights, namely horizontal ones. They have been shown to be more dangerous than the vertical ones, but they insist on using them.
John FitzGerald club has replied to Diane Putnam clubIt is a wonderful composition.
