Or The Edgware Road, somewhere where they are trying very hard to be stylish in a westernised kind of way but not quite achieving it! But full marks for trying, in my book!

A palimpsest.( Probably one of my favourite words!) It’s one of my ambitions to try and get a shot like this.
I love the way it all seems to radiate from that central semi-circular door light window.

I like the idea of a palimpsest, Steve. I have lived near this street for most of my life and have watched the continual erasures of one business and over-writing with another. Part of the street is undergoing a revival so some massive erasures have occurred, too.
