Generations

That's really a nice find ! The faces of the people tell a lot of stories. That's why I like this classical form of taking pictures.

I'm guessing this is three generations of the same family..........there's a definite resemblance. Also I think there may be more than one person taking the shot as the two ladies in the centre seem to be looking in a different direction to everyone else. I'm probably totally wrong on both counts but it's good fun speculating nevertheless!

Yes, I think the mother, father, and grandparents can be figured out, Keith. In particular the three women in the middle seem to be daughter-mother-grandmother. An interesting point about the different directions people are looking. It does add a lot to the photo.

How sweet! I'll bet the girl is modeling her prom dress. The grandparents look very 1930s, everyone else, 1950s.

I missed your comment way back when, Diane. I can only agree with your observations. Fleur-Ange Lamothe on Flickr thought there was a good chance this family is French(-Canadian). They do display the modest elegance that was shown by many French people back at the time this photo was taken.
