Early Lessons ...

Elahn is young; he feels he should have "personal space" but doesn't yet understand that other animate beings also feel the same way, and as such, are going to defend said space.
Elahn is merely curious; Teewinot says he is being fresh (see her ears and pinched lips) and then, because Elahn doesn't "listen", she emphasizes her point with the current contents of her mouth. Were there not a fence between, there might also be physical emphases as well, including pushing bodies and stomping front legs.

That universal message definitely got through ... although the "why" is going to be lost on Elahn until he has enough experiences to extrapolate what he can do to avoid this indignity.
The open-mouthed posture is variously known as "spit-mouth" or "bad-mouth" and means IT STINKS. If the spitter has resorted to using rumen contents (rather than whatever's being chewed at the moment), he or she will also "bad mouth."
As you can see, Teewinot got pretty good coverage — all the way down Elahn's neck.
Now comes another lesson — Elahn comes complaining to me only to find out that NOBODY wants to interact with a stinky llama. Social pressure exists in all societies!
