Same house, ca. 1965

Marie's house 50 years later - nothing much has changed, neither inside nor ourside...
Marie never maried, but stayed all her life in the old house without any modern conveniences. She had all kinds of casual jobs like washing and sowing and when my parents moved to the village, she also came to work in their market garden.
She was also our family's occasional babysitter and it is actually her pulling the sledge on the picture I posted yesterday... ;)
When Marie died in 1978, my parents bought the plot and built a new house on it for their retirement.
Strøhusvej 12, Kildebrønde, Denmark. Original prob. shot by my uncle Richardt Hansen, ca. 1965.
