Pinfish -- Lagodon rhomboides

This card was for the Rubber Stamp Techniques challenge: this is the 2nd card I've made w/ this large stamp from Fred B. Mullett (who makes his stamps with the Japanese gyotaku fish-printing method). The new technique I tried is using colored pencils on top of a stamped image. It was a bit difficult to do, because my pencil set lacked the sunny yellow of the pinfish's fins and stripes, so I had to combine a yellow ochre and a canary yellow to get the color. I really enjoyed doing a realistic fish project, though, and am definitely getting into drawing & coloring fish, as well as the rubber stamps.
