SOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!! I love this darling squirrel's color and the angle is fun too! Nice one!

OMG what a beast of a lens, nearly 6 pounds!!! UGH!! That is the thing I just cannot handle with zoom lenses. We have a Canon 100-300L lens and it's just super but it stays home because it's just too heavy to lug around...and it's only about half the weight of yours. *shakes head* EXACTLY why I got my new Sony bridge camera. I am delighted that I can take pictures like this without breaking my arms and back with a lens that's just too heavy to deal with. STILL, your picture is wonderful, and congratulations! :)

Yes Janet, it's quite heavy. But i never carry it on my back, i never walk along with it.

It is a special purpose lens, mainly in the garden. When i go outdoors it is packed on the bike. In other locations, like zoo, i use a shopping bag on wheels (like old people do). With animals you often have to be patient and wait for the right moment, then i use a light monopod.
Nevertheless it has to be handled, and that's my second reason why i push myself to workout in gymn ;-)

For me it's worth the effort, because i love the way it shows me distant things and blurrs the background ...
