Grünes Licht für die Kathedrale
Die Kathedrale von Cadiz liegt direkt am Meer. Die gelben glasierten Keramikziegeln der Kuppel sind von fast jedem Punkt der Altstadt gut sichtbar. Erbaut wurde die Catedral Santa Cruz sobre las Aguas in 116 Jahren. Dabei haben verschiedene Architekten und Bauherren die Baustile des Barock, Rokoko und der Neoklassik einfließen lassen. 1838 wurde die Kirche dann eingeweiht. Der Westturm, der Torre de Poniente, lässt sich übrigens besteigen.

Danke Maik. Mit diesem kleinen Kniff ist die Straße aus dem Bild verschwunden und keine Autos lenken den Blick ab.
