Der Sendemast auf dem 2098m hohen Gipfel Palon ist aus dem Etschtal weithin sichtbar. Zu Fuß kann er von dem Bergdorf Valon, welches ziemlich weit oben auf dem Bergrücken des Monte Bondone liegt, erklommen werden. Die ganz harten Wanderer starten unten in Pavina auf einer Höhe von 300m.
