Yes, dear Diana, I focused right on the statue. I have a deep admiration for this writer from Trieste. At the beginning of his career, he was followed and encouraged by James Joyce (we also have a statue of him in Trieste...)

A good place for this statue. It seems like it's a normal visitor to this city who wants to cross the street...

I believe that these places were really frequented by the writer; I'm not sure, but in front of the statue there is a library.

Anche io amo Svevo, anche se non è il mio scrittore italiano preferito.
Una bella sorpresa rivedere la sua statua in questo tuo scatto, dove la prospettiva è vincente, perché, come è stato già osservato, lo sguardo si sofferma prima sulla statua e immediatamente dopo sulla passante, elemento di grande rilievo nell’immagine. Le statue collocate per strada mi sono sempre piaciute. Svevo è nella sua città, pronto a passeggiare con noi per le vie di Trieste.
Chissà se pubblicherai anche la foto del suo amico Joyce…

Per quanto riguarda la composizione della foto, carissima Adele, mi hanno aiutato molto le strisce chiare sull'asfalto, che spostano l'interesse di chi guarda la foto dalla statua alla strada.
Mi hanno detto che c'era anche una pipa nella mano, ma è stata rubata più volte !
Conosci molto meglio di me il ruolo decisivo di Joyce nella vita letteraria di Svevo .... ma io avevo già pubblicato la sua foto cinque anni fa:

Questa statua sta all'inizio di un ponte sul Canal Grande, praticamente sotto le finestre dell'appartamento in cui abitavo. Per completare la serie, c'è anche la statua di D'Annunzio in Piazza della Borsa.

A pesar de su amistad con Joyce y de la clara influencia de las teorías de Sigmund Freud, en realidad Svevo no tuvo gran notoriedad a nivel europeo, querido Antón Cruz.
Lo mismo ocurre con la mayoría de los autores italianos del siglo XX.....

Die Person des Schriftsteller stellst Du sehr gut in den Vordergrund, dieser langen, gepflasterlen Straße. Sie scheint wenig belebt und die Linen führen fast ins Endlose.
Der Blick der Skulptur scheint sehr fest auf ein bestimmtes Fenster in einem der gegenüber liegenden Fenster gerichtet.
Eine ausgezeichnete Bildgestaltung, Fabio.
