Trajan's Column

Constructed in 133 AD, Trajan's Column in ancient Rome commemorates Roman emperor Trajan's victory in the Dacian Wars. The column is approximately 98 feet tall, excluding its base and is decorated with carvings depicting Trajan's two victories against the Dacians. This photograph is of a small section of the column.
