Je n'y avais pas pensé, et pourtant votre évocation est très juste. C'est tout à fait l'image que l'on garde de ces rails qui menaient les cohortes de prisonniers juifs "au bout du voyage", vers leur dernier et tellement dramatique "voyage"..... Surtout avec cette atmosphère sans vie et grisâtre que j'ai eu envie, sans réfléchir, d'accoler à cette perspective.

His comments were never insignificant. I enjoyed my exchanges with him, which always gave a resonance behind the image. And constantly with a human touch. He will be sorely missed.
