me things an outdoor swimming / padding pool or
play area ... then again I think .. was this built during
the last war ... I do not know ... ;-) HELP explanation
please for me who does not have a clue ;-))))
but I love the sea and clouds .... ;-)))
Erhard Bernstein club has replied to beverley´This wall was part of a gigantic building complex that has been constructed by the Nazis during WW2. The intention was to have a resort for 20.000 people, but it has never been finished.
The very wall we see here was to be a - what else - gigantic terace.
For more info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prora
beverley has replied to Erhard Bernstein clubif it had been completed .. and what we might loosely call ;-))) a blot on the landscape ;-)
but I note in the write up that they refer to Butlins ;-) ... of course we had these seaside
resorts that had little chalets to sleep in ... I am sure you may heard of them, but
they were all small little cabins and nothing obtrusive ... and after the war started
to become popular, in fact, they are still around ;-) I guess your wall here will stay
forever and ever ;-)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butlins
they always took a long journey to reach and always we would say
as children ... are we nearly there yet ;-)
