Side Pike slab squeeze

View of the rock slab squeeze from the flat ledge. See adjacent previous photos for more explanation.
The path here and behind the camera location is fairly narrow and there is a near-vertical drop to the right, not very far perhaps, but sufficient to potentially cause serious injury in the event of a fall. The exposed section is only a few yards long however, and the path soon becomes comfortably clear of the edge as it rises up towards the summit of Side Pike.
The path visible beyond the squeeze leads eastwards to Lingmoor Fell.
