Thomas Boulsover memorial

This is the Thomas Boulsover memorial in Whiteley Woods in the Porter Valley. Thomas Boulsover invented Sheffield Plate, a process that enabled copper sheet to be bonded with a thin covering of silver which could then be worked to form tableware, etc., at a much cheaper cost than if the article had been made entirely of silver. The memorial is close to Wiremill Dam about 600 metres downstream of Forge Dam Cafe.
