Stanage Edge in the spotlight


View to the north-west. It had been a gloomy December morning, but the cloud started to break and shafts of sunlight broke through and illuminated the Edge and the lower strike vale. Stanage Edge is an escarpment of Rivelin or Chatsworth Grit (Namurian), in the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, UK.
