"Islamic motifs with keyhole arches and ogee domes on Marine Arcade, Bexhill. Architects of this extraordinary terrace of Moghul-inspired dwellings are Durward Brown, Arthur Blackford and W Tillott Barlow. Built between 1903 and 1907, their many features include horseshoe arches with keyhole and lobed arch motifs with both plain and facetted ogee domes. Influenced by the Maharajah of Cooch Behar (Koch Bihar) who had a home in Bexhill in the early decades of the 20th century."
