Just a few years ago, this folder would have contained very little that wasn't hauled by a pair of 37s. A few years earlier and pairs of 24s or 26s would have had a monopoly.
How things have changed !!
In the last ten years or so, Kyle has seen classes of loco that no-one would have thought possible in BR times. The Royal Scotsman started things off with 31s, 47s and 57s. These have since been followed by 40145, Deltics, 50s and even a Western. A pair of 20s is on the horizon and things are afoot with class 73s. Not much left really !!
A class 08 or a Hymek seem unlikely - but who knows?
