A Christmas morning stroll

An unusually warm Christmas morning, and I was early to Mass so, as is sometimes my wont, I took a little walk around uptown Athens, Ohio. Because there was nearly no one else out and about, it was an opportunity to make pictures of the brick that make up much of the pavement of the city with a reduced chance of getting run over. As always, it's less the patterns than the interruptions in them that stood out, and I am nothing if not a photographer of the obvious.
