Making caramel corn on a hot, hot day

"Boogie on the Bricks" is a street party held in early summer each year in Athens, Ohio. It includes music, beer, food, beer, snacks, and beer. Possibly the least enviable job in the whole proceeding is the task of stirring this cauldron of popcorn and molten caramel.
