Rhins of Galloway 2019
Folder: Holidays Scotland
Corsewall Lighthouse
Not only a functioning lighthouse, but also a hotel.
Mull of Galloway Lighthouse
You can just about make out people in at the top of the tower
Lighthouse light
The upper light of a pair of HB LED lights (with Polycarb aspheric lens) in Mull of Galloway Lighthouse. Made by Sealite.
This lighthouse is (possibly?) the only one in Scotland which is active but you can climb to the top of the tower. The museum staff take control of the light and set it to manual when they are showing people round in order to avoid people being blinded by an automatic turn on of the light!
Fog Horn
At the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse.
While such fog horns are no longer used operationally, this one (and its compressors etc) has been restored so it can be demonstrated.

At the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse
These hold the air used to power the fog horn.
