Stainton of Kendal LIB 3767 (D232 MEC) and Wallace Arnold L928 NWW at the Smoke House, Beck Row – 4 Apr 1996 (305-32)

Maundy Thursday 4 April 1996 - The Smoke House Inn, Beck Row near Mildenhall was rather popular with a number of different tour companies large and small as a base for their five day tours to different East Anglian tourist spots like Cambridge, Constable Country, Norfolk Broads, Suffolk Villages etc. The coaches tended to arrive on Monday afternoons and leave on Friday mornings.

On the left is F W Stainton and Son of Kendal LIB 3767, a Plaxton Paramount 3200 bodied Volvo B10M new in April 1987 registered D232 MEC.

On the right is Wallace Arnold Tours L928 NWW, a Plaxton Excalibur bodied Volvo B10M new in March 1994.
