605 Preserved HLP 10C at the Norwich Rally - 8 Sep 1991

Sunday 8 September 1991 - Harrington Grenadier bodied AEC Reliance HLP 10C was new to Surrey Motors in July 1965. Operated by Premier Travel Services from May 1974 to April 1980 it was sold to Bird's Coaches of Ongar without being repainted.

In 1983 it was acquired by Geoff Cochrane and was preserved in Surrey Motors livery which it carried until circa 1990. It was seen here at the Norwich Bus Rally having been restored to Premier Travel colours.

Geoff Cochrane had worked for Premier Travel and later for Cambridge Coach Services. Jim Neale's book on CCS explains the background why the Cambridge name appears on the rear glass and side slip boards of the coach at this time.
