RATP (Paris) 8580 - 30 Apr 1992

Thursday 30 April 1992 – RATP 8580 (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens), a Saviem SC10 new in 1978/1979, seen in Rue de Bac as it first swung left before making the right turn into Rue de Grenelle on service 69 towards Champs de Mar near the Eiffel Tower. Many of the services of RATP traverse some narrow streets and in many cases because these are one-way the inward and outward routes can be quite different! In 1980 Saviem lost its identity in a reorganisation of the Renault Group when Saviem and Berliet were merged to form RVI (Renault Véhicules Industriels).

RATP buses did not carry registration numbers in the normal way, the fleet number was carried as a registration number.
