Shoreline Suncruiser Buses V182 OOE in Scarborough - 10 Nov 2012 (DSCN9356)

Saturday 10 November 2012 (1322) – Shoreline Suncruiser Buses V182 OOE seen near Scarborough’s West Pier on the seafront service. Now converted to open top, this Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL was new in February 2000 as London United VA66. Due to work being carried out on the sea defences a one way traffic system was in operation so that only buses travelling from the South Bay to the North Bay could travel around the Marine Drive. Buses from the North Bay had to take an inland route. (Service number 109 was created in the days when United Automobile Services held prominence in the regulated era but of course the special sea front service Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol single deckers did not have route number displays so never showed the number).
